29 again??

Hi there,

I created this Birthday Card as inspiration for this month's Happy Little Stampers Watercolor Challenge:


  • stamp the adorable koalas from the Create a Smile Cart full of Treasures set with Versafine (Onyx Black) and color the image with ZIG Clean Color Real Brush Pens and a damp watercolor brush
  • add highlights with a white gel pen and a pattern on the box with a Staedtler Fineliner
  • create a background on a stitched panel cut from cream cardstock using the Flora & Fauna Texture Two set and Altenew Crisp Inks (Caribbean Sky, Mountain Mist, Lavender Fields)
  • stamp the custom-made sentiment with the help of the The Alley Way Stamps Gabfest set and Versafine (Onyx Black)
  • add some Pretty Pink Posh Sequins (Sparkling Clear 4mm and 6mm, Aquamarine 4mm and 6mm, Pansy Purple 4mm and 6mm, Cornlfower 4mm) as final embellishment

Christmas Window

Hi there,

I created this cute little Christmas card with the help of the Gerda Steiner Designs Gopher it stamp set:

  • stamp the the cute little guy from the Gerda Steiner Designs Gopher it set and the Christmas Hat from the Gerda Steiner Designs Snow Angel set with Versafine Vintage Sepia - use the Masking Technique
  • color the image with Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils
  • add highlights with a white gel pen
  • cut out the Lawn Fawn Wonderful Window from Neenah Desert Storm kraft cardstock and cut out a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock that fits right behind that window opening
  • stamp the Christmas Tree from the Lawn Fawn Christmas Dreams set and mask it
  • add color to the background with Distress Ink Tumbled Glass and create a pattern by applying Distress Oxide Ink Iced Spruce to the Tim Holtz Tiles Mini Layering Stencil
  • stamp a bow and the little cookie plate from the Lawn Fawn Christmas Dreams set
  • color these additional images with Faber-Castell Polychromos as well
  • create a backdrop using patterned paper from the My Mind's Eye Sugar Plum 6x6 paper pad and one of the Tattered Lace Torn Edge Rectangles dies
  • stamp the sentiment from the Clearly Besotted Stamps Many Mini Messages set with Versafine Vintage Sepia onto a sentiment strip cut with one of the My Favorite Things Stitched Sentiment Strips from Neenah Desert Storm kraft cardstock
  • layer all the elements onto a stitched rectangle cut from Neenah Desert Storm kraft cardstock and adhere it to a cardbase

Christmas Tag Trio

Hi there,

I created this Tag Trio using the adorable Gerda Steiner Designs Reindeer and a Tree stamp set:

  • stamp some of the fabulous images from the Gerda Steiner Designs Reindeer and a Tree set with Memento Tuxedo Black
  • color them with Copic, Delta and Touch Twin Brush Markers and add extra shading with Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils - add highlights with a white gel pen
  • cut out some tags, their frames and backgrounds and banners using the My Favorite Things Tag Builder Blueprints 5 set, white cardstock and silver glitter cardstock
  • add color to the three backgrounds with Distress Inks (Aged Mahogany, Candied Apple, Pine Needles, Evergreen Bough, Faded Jeans, Broken China) - sprinkle them with Pearlized Water for more texture
  • stamp the sentiment from the Clearly Besotted Stamps Many Mini Messages set with Versafine Onyx Black on each of the three banners
  • add burlap ribbon and a natural twine bow as final embellishment

Hi there,

I would like to show you another Christmas Card over on the Karten-Kunst Blog:


  • stamp the cute little mouse from the Penny Black Santa's Helpers set with Versafine Onyx Black and color the image with Derwent Inktense pencils and a damp watercolor brush
  • add highlights and polka dots with a white gel pen
  • cut a stitched square from watercolor paper and create a background using Distress Oxide Inks (Salty Ocean, Faded Jeans), a piece of acetate and water from your Mini Mister
  • stamp the sentiment from the Karten-Kunst Viecher im Winter set with Versafine Onyx Black
  • layer the watercolor panel on top of a piece of silver glitter paper and another stitched panel before adhering it to the cardbase
  • wrap a piece of blue twine around the card and tie it into a little bow

Space Elf

Hi there,

I created this Space Christmas Elf Card using some fabulous stamp sets from Gerda Steiner Designs:

  • create a circular galaxy background on a stitched piece of watercolor paper using Daniel Smith watercolors and white Liquitex Ink - mist the background with Pearlized Water for extra sparkle
  • stamp the sentiment from the Gerda Steiner Designs Holiday Friends set with Versafine Onyx Black
  • create a new fun image by combining the elf from the Gerda Steiner Designs Peeking Friends set and the spaceship from the Gerda Steiner Designs Alien Invasion set - use the Masking Technique
  • color the image with Delta, Touch Twin Brush and Copic Markers
  • add highlights with a white gel pen
  • adhere the spaceship using an Action Wobbler for an interactive effect
  • mount the watercolor panel onto a kraft cardbase

Christmas Tag Duo

Hi there,

just a quick reminder of this month's TAGplorations Challenge - the Topic is All about Christmas and the Optional Twist is Glitter:

  • cut out two tags from smooth white cardstock using one of the CUTplorations Tags #1 dies
  • stamp images and sentiments from the STAMPlorations Warm Hands, Warm Hearts set with Memento (Tuxedo Black) onto both tags
  • color the images with Delta, Touch Twin Brush and Copic Markers
  • on the left tag I used the Distress Marker Spritzer to create a background
  • add a generous amount of Wink of Stella Clear Glitter
  • add some matching glitter paper to the top or bottom of the tag
  • thread some black and white twine through the holes of the tags

In December we will have special surprises for you:

Reindeer and a Tree

I created this fun project for the Gerda Steiner Designs Blog:

  • stamp that cute little scene using stamps from the adorable Gerda Steiner Designs Reindeer and a Tree set and Versafine Vintage Sepia - use the masking technique
  • color the images with Faber-Castell Albrecht-Dürer Pencils and a damp watercolor brush
  • add Stickles Platinum to the star and Stickles Xmas Red to the nose of one of the reindeer
  • adhere the stitched watercolor panel to red glitter paper before mounting it onto a white cardbase

Christmas Mail - Weihnachtspost

Hi there,

I created this watercolor Christmas Card using the fabulous Karten-Kunst Capri Weihnachtspost sentiment set:

  • cut out a stitched panel from watercolor paper
  • create a background using small images from the Gerda Steiner Designs Holiday Friends and the Gerda Steiner Designs Reindeer and a Tree set
  • color the images and the background with Daniel Smith and Schmincke Horadam watercolors
  • add sparkly splatters with Finetec Mica watercolor Dragon Silver
  • stamp the little bird from the Gerda Steiner Designs Little Christmas Reindeer set with Versafine Smokey Gray and color it with watercolors as well
  • add the sentiment from the Karten-Kunst Capri Weihnachtspost set with Versafine Smokey Gray and cut out a little banner shape
  • layer the sentiment banner on top of a piece of torn vellum before adhering it to the watercolor panel
  • use a grey cardbase

Christmas Greetings Art Journal Page

Hi there,

this is just a quick reminder of this month's Mixed Media Challenge over on the STAMPlorations Blog.

  • cover an art journal page cut from extra sturdy watercolor paper with white gesso
  • apply Prima Marketing Modeling Paste through the ARTplorations Christmas Trees stencil and let it dry thoroughly
  • add color to the background using Lindy's Stamp Gang Magicals (Rusty Lantern Lime, Steampunk Sepia)
  • color the Christmas tree with Golden Fluid Acrylic Viridian Green Hue 
  • stamp the script and the lines around the edges with the help of the STAMPlorations Mixed Media Elements set and Archival Ink Coffee
  • add silver and gold foil to the tree for extra sparkle and shine
  • the sentiment is from the Seasonal Chit Chat sticker set

Happy Birthday Rainbow Card

Hi there,

it's time for a new Challenge over on the Addicted to Stamps and More Blog and I would like to show you this Rainbow Birthday Card:

  • cut put a stitched panel from white cardstock and stamp the sentiment from the Gerda Steiner Designs Happy Hoppy set with Altenew Crisp Ink (Crimson, Coral Berry, Orange Cream, Warm Sunshine, Parrot, Persian Blue, Deep Iris)
  • stamp the cat from the Taylored Expressions If Cats could talk set with Memento (Tuxedo Black) and color the image with Delta, Touch Twin Brush and Copic Markers
  • mount the panel onto a Neenah Desert Storm Kraft cardbase

Reindeer Shaker

Hi there,

I created this sweet little shaker card using stamps from the Gerda Steiner Designs Peeking Friends stamp set:

  • cut out a stitched panel from Neenah Desert Storm kraft cardstock using one of the My Favorite Things Wonky Stitched Rectangles 
  • cut out a Christmas Tree from that panel with the help of one of the dies from the Sizzix Festive Fancies set
  • glue a piece of acetate behind the oping and surround it with a double layer of double-sided foam tape
  • fill the shaker element with clear and green seed beads and close it with a piece of patterned paper from the Crate Paper Snow & Cocoa 6x6 paper pad
  • cut out another wonky stitched panel from patterned paper from that same paper pad and adhere all the layers to a Neenah Desert Storm kraft cardbase
  • stamp the cute little reindeer from the Gerda Steiner Designs Peeking Friends set with Versafine Onyx Black
  • color the image with Faber-Castell Albrecht-Dürer pencils and add Stickles Glitter Glue Christmas Red to its nose
  • add highlights with a white gel pen
  • stamp the sentiment from the same stamp set onto a strip of patterned paper with Versafine Onyx Black and heat-emboss it with clear embossing powder for extra dimension
  • layer a thin strip of red glitter paper underneath the sentiment strip to match the nose of the reindeer

Stamp Connection #32

Hi there,

connected through our love for card making, blogging and being from Germany we (Cornelia from Stempel Spass and I) decided to create a monthly project within predefined requirements. We are going to show you the result every 2nd Sunday of the month and this is our 32nd transatlantic get-together!

Our requirement for this meet-up was:
"Christmas Ornament"

  • cut out the largest of the Lawn Fawn Stitched Ornaments - once from Dani Peuss white cardstock and once from turquoise glitter paper
  • stamp the adorable little snowman from the Whimsy Stamps Candle Light set
  • color the image with Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils and Zest-it
  • add the hangers cut from silver glitter paper and thread a piece of purple twine through the hole of the ornament

Coffee and Christmas

Hi there,

Gerda Steiner Designs is joining the Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop and this is my creation:

  • stamp the adorable little reindeer from the Gerda Steiner Designs Holiday Friends set and three coffee cups from the Gerda Steiner Designs You're Koalafied set with Memento Tuxedo Black - use the Masking Technique
  • color the image with Delta, Touch Twin Brush and Copic Markers
  • add highlights with a white gel pen
  • cut out a stitched panel from Bristol Smooth cardstock and create a plaid background using the My Favorite Things Plaid Background Builder, Altenew Crisp Ink (Frayed Leaf, Buttercream), the Darkroom Door Stitched Borders, Versamark and WOW! Gold Rich Super Fine embossing powder
  • create a custom-sentiment with stamps from the Gerda Steiner Designs Holiday Friends and Gerda Steiner Designs You're Koalafied set, Versamark and WOW! Bright White Super Fine and WOW! Gold Rich Super Fine embossing powder
  • mount the panel onto a piece of dark green cardstock before adhering it to a cardbase

ATC Box

Hi there,

we are starting a new Mixed Media Challenge over on the Happy Little Stampers Blog and this time it's Anything goes. Since I created a lot of ATCs this year, I needed a nice little box to store them in:


  • cut out a box from kraft cardstock
  • cover the outside with gesso
  • apply some texture paste through the ARTplorations Forest of Leaves stencil and let it dry thoroughly
  • add color using Distress Stains (Broken China, Salty Ocean, Evergreen Bough) 
  • use black acrylic paint to cover the box with splatters
  • ink up the edges with Distress Ink (Black Soot)
  • create a label with the help of the Dymo Label Maker

I can't wait to see your creations in the gallery.

Glittery Houses

Hi there,

we are starting a new TAGplorations Challenge over on the STAMPlorations Blog and this month it is All about Christmas and the Optional Twist is Glitter:


  • cut out a tag from watercolor paper using one of the CUTplorations Tags #1 dies
  • stamp some houses from the STAMPlorations Houses set with Versafine (Onyx Black) - use masking paper
  • color the houses with ZIG Clean Color Real Brush Pens and Wink of Stella Clear Glitter for that extra sparkle - it's a real pity that I couldn't catch all the sparkle on camera
  • stamp the sentiment from the STAMPlorations Joyful set with Versafine (Onyx Black)
  • dye a piece of seam binding with a blue ZIG Clean Color Real Brush Pen and thread it through the hole of the tag
